Farewell Sqn Ldr Bierton

The cadets and staff at 1985 said a sad goodbye and good luck to our Commanding Officer last night.

We would like to say a massive thank you and congratulations to newly promoted Squadron Leader Andy Bierton, who took up his new post as the Wing Assurance/Special Projects Officer for Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire Wing ATC as of 1st January.

Sqn Ldr Bierton joined us as a cadet in September 1986 and has led the Squadron as Commanding Officer since 2009. His focus has always been to give cadets as many opportunities as possible and he has dedicated a huge amount of time to the many generations of cadets who have grown and developed under his guidance.

We would like to wish Sqn Ldr Bierton every success in his new role, you will be missed on parade nights. Thank you for all you have done for the Squadron, Sir!
